We had the absolute pleasure of capturing one of the most heartfelt weddings we’ve filmed this year, held at the breathtaking Star Ranch, just north of San Angelo, Texas. Tucked along the Concho River and surrounded by wide-open skies and golden sunsets, this venue offered the perfect setting for a love story to unfold.
From the elegant rustic charm of the Main Hall to the romantic riverside backdrop, every frame of this wedding was filled with joy, emotion, and beauty. The day began with quiet, meaningful moments in the Bridal Suite and Casita, where anticipation and excitement filled the air.
This highlight film brings together the most memorable parts of the day—set to music that echoes the couple’s style and energy, and featuring touching audio from the bride and groom’s handwritten vows. Their promises to one another were not just spoken but felt, and we knew from the moment we heard them that they would form the emotional core of the film.
As the sun dipped behind the West Texas hills, the couple danced under the stars and string lights, surrounded by family and friends. The outdoor dance floor lit up with celebration, laughter, and love—a true reflection of the warmth and connection shared throughout the day.

Wedding Anniversary Dance
What is the anniversary dance?
This is a special opportunity to showcase all of the couples who have been married longer than you and your new bride or groom. At the end of the dance, a good DJ will have the longest married couple giving a tidbit of advice to the newest married couple. Let us take a look at how it works.
First, all married couples are invited to the dance floor.
The disc jockey will kindly invite your guest to dance. Its fun to group up and start the dancing. by this time an after dinner cocktail will loosen up many knees and hips.
Next, eliminate couples year by year.
You might hear something like this from the PA system, “If you have been married a year or longer please step off of the dance floor.” Remember the wedding couple is excluded from being booted off the dance floor.
The DJ will move along the years and decades to thin out the crowd. A good DJ will gauge the guest and move along the years according. You don’t want them to jump to all the 40 year and older marriages, but on the other side, you don’t want them to run down year by year.

Finally, the last two couples are on the dance floor.
When the disc-jockey has voted everyone but you and the oldest married couple off the dance floor then it gets sweet. The winners will have an opportunity to give a bit of marriage advice to the newest wedding couple in the reception hall.
Where does this fit in your wedding reception timeline?
In Texas, the anniversary dance is placed after the formal dancing. Some of your older guests will leave the reception early and its best to get them out on the dance floor before they head home for the night.
Are there any other ways to do the Anniversary Dance?
Yes, you can excuse the newly married couple right off the bat. Its fun and comical to hear the DJ announce, “If you have been married less than 4 hours, please step off the dance floor.” Next is the boring part. The bride and groom are expected to stand on the sideline and wait for the dance game to play out.
Not big on dancing? Wearing beautiful shoes that hurt to dance in? Then this could be the perfect way to have the dance and not hurt your feet. The video above lets you share the moment without booting anyone from the dancefloor.

Wedding Dress Trash with a Jeep

A few years back we had a couple trash a wedding dress using their Jeep. This year we were able to shoot another video for their friends.
Meet Michele & Raul & their two lovely Jeeps.
Michele came up with the dream-concept video shoot. This has Raul dreaming he is out in the wild trying to make it to his wedding while Michele is growing mad. She tries countless times to get a hold of him and has no luck.
The main Jeep footage was shoot at Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, Texas. The rest of the video was shot on location in Corpus Christi.

Family Time in West Texas
We had the last weekend in April off and chose to head out to our land in west Texas. The land is south of Van Horn and west of Valentine, Texas. It is just a 10 acre speck of land in the middle of the Sierra Vieja and Van Horn Mountains.
Kendra, our two boys, & I spent 2 nights sleeping in tents and eating camp food. We love it out there when we get the chance to visit. This time we got in very late and I stuck the truck pulling the trailer.
Well now we are back and its time to start editing again.
